AC Ace RS Electric
AC Cars, the oldest car manufacturer in the United Kingdom, is completely repositioning itself. After recently presenting the legendary Cobra as an electrified sports car, another model now follows. The Ace served as the base vehicle for the Cobra conceived by Carroll Shelby in the late 1950s. The two-seater roadster appeared on the market as early as 1954. With a very good chassis by the standards of the time, the Ace was able to achieve various successes in the popular club races in Europe and the USA. Production of the original model ended in 1962. Now it is back.

As the AC Ace RS Electric, the two-seater roadster now hits the road with a 230 kW (313 hp) electric motor. Maximum torque is 500 Nm, with 250 Nm usually available. This enables the electric Ace to accelerate from a standstill to 62 mph in 5.5 seconds if required. Thanks to the battery with a capacity of 38 kWh, the maximum range is around 200 miles. Only in terms of weight does the new edition have to take a bit of a back seat to the original. The electric technology increases the figure to 1,050 kilograms. As with the electrified Cobra, the Mk IV chassis from AC Cars, including an original AC chassis number, serves as the basis. A total of just 37 units of the Founder Edition of the AC Ace RS Electric are to be produced. The base price is £ 129,500.
