Chevrolet Corvette C7 Final Edition

If you ask European car fans about a US sports car, many immediately think of the Chevrolet Corvette. Currently, the car maker is already producing the seventh model generation, but the end of production of the C7 is already within reach. Apparently, the upcoming C8 might also bring a change from front to mid engine, which could lead to some disappointed diehard fans. These should therefore quickly put a last copy of the C7 into their garages. As an incentive, Chevrolet currently offers a Final Edition based on the Coupé versions of Grand Sport and Z06 – at least for the European market.

Both variants are available in ‘Sebring Orange’ or ‘Ceramic Matrix Gray’, each combined with black alloy wheels and gray brake calipers for the standard Brembo ceramic-carbon brake system. Front splitter, side skirts and rear spoiler show visible carbon accents. Above the sills are black decorative stripes with ‘Final Edition’ inscriptions. At the Grand Sport there are black Hash marks as well on the front fenders.

Inside, the Final Edition wears black nappa leather in combination with black microfiber suede on the seat center panels, the steering wheel, the gear lever, parts of the dashboard and the door panels as well as the center tunnel. At vehicles in Sebring Orange this rounded off with stitchings in white and at cars in Ceramic Matrix Gray with blue stitchings as well as bare carbon decor trim. Driver and passenger take place in competition sports seats.

In addition to the Brembo brake system mentioned above, the Performance Data Recorder is also part of the standard equipment. For the Corvette Grand Sport Final Edition Chevrolet offers the optional Z07 package, which is standard with the Z06 Final Edition cars. While the Grand Sport version without Z07 package is available either with eight-speed automatic or seven-speed manual gearbox, the cars with Z07 package and the Z06 Final Edition come only with the manual transmission.

Chevrolet asks 116,500 euros (incl German VAT) or 130,000 CHF for the Corvette Grand Sport Final Edition and 139,500 euros (incl German VAT) or 153,200 CHF for the Z06.
