Ferrari 812 Superfast Tailor Made

In the Tailor Made department of Ferrari, all vehicles which are equipped with special customer requests are created. With experts from Tailor Made and his local dealer H.R. Owen a British customer ordered and configured his new 812 Superfast, which he could receive now. In the color scheme, he was inspired by a famous racing car from the Ferrari history. Rob Walker’s Scottish racing team used a 250 GT SWB in the early 1960s, painted in dark blue with a distinctive white stripe across the bonnet and fenders down to the wheelarches.

In addition to other racing drivers, especially one took place behind the steering wheel, who became famous in the course of his career, although he couldn’t win a world title. Instead he was F1 vice-champion in 1955, 1956, 1957 and 1958 and also won the Mille Miglia in Italy with a record time still valid today. Of course we talk about Sir Stirling Moss. With the Ferrari he won sports car races in Goodwood, Nassau, Brands Hatch and Silverstone.

To remember the colors of the 250 GT SWB, but at the same time incorporating modern elements, the new owner of this 812 Superfast chose a matte ‘Blu Scozia Opaco’ paintwork. In addition to the horizontal stripes, the car shows dull white start number fields on the doors and in the center of the bonnet. On the front fenders the Ferrari logos is painted. The car also got silver alloy wheels and silver brake calipers.

Inside, dark blue leather is used, which is combined with white leather stripes on the sports seats, white piping and white contrast stitching. The rim of the steering wheel shows bare carbon at the top and bottom as well as a white painted stripe. From here the driver has full control over 800 hp. These spring from a naturally aspirated V12 engine with 6.5 liters displacement, mounted behind the front axle.
